Come join the Ride Sunny Women's Group for the 1st in a series of 3 gravel rides. The first route will start from Sunnyside Sports at 10 am Sunday October 22 and we'll do a combination of the two rides below. Expect 25-55 miles. Thanks to Linda English and Dirty Freehub for the suggested routes. The other rides will be Sunday Nov 19 and Sunday Dec 17, routes TBD based on interest and weather.
Be sure you have a bike that can handle gravel and some non-technical single track, that is in good working order. We recommend a cyclocross or gravel bike with gravel or knobby tires. (minimum tire size recommended 32 mm). Bring flat changing equipment--tubes/pumps/co2 cartridge/repair kit as well as multi-tool.
Bring food and water for 3 hours. Will always try to have a mid-ride stop for water on rides but be prepared in case there is no water stop along the way.
You must be able to ride on dirt/gravel comfortably for minimum of 2 hours. Pace varies anywhere from 10-15 mph on gravel for average speed.
