EAT at these Sunnyside-Approved Eateries:

  • Bend Farmers' Market
    • Every Wednesday, June through October, from 3:00-7:00 pm downtown.
  • Devore's Good Food Store
    • It's an organic grocery, with the best wraps in town. Just the place to grab a lunch on the go.
  • Kebaba
They're practically next door and the favorite shop lunch spot. Fast and good Middle-Eastern.
  • Nancy P's Bakery
    • Coffee and baked goods right around the corner--Another favorite shop eatery.
  • Great Harvest Bread Company
    • If you've ever done a shop century ride, you've eaten Great Harvest cookies.  They're the best!
  • Strictly Organic Coffee
    • The best coffee beans around.  We even have our own roast--try their Sunnyside Blend!
  • Super Burrito
    • Our favorite taqueria is back and better than ever. There is no better post-bike-ride bonk medicine. Recommeded: Everything, not necessarily in that order--Just off the river on Newport Avenue.
  • Mother's Juice Cafe
    • Forget the Jamba.  This is the real deal.
  • Cafe Sintra
    • You'll find Gary and Frankie there every Sunday morning.  Great coffees, scones, and real breakfasts as well. Downtown.
  • Table Tops Event Rentals
    • This is where we get our everything-we-need-to-throw-a-party stuff.  Check them out if you're eventing.

  • Jackson's Corner Market
    • One of our favorite hangs--Great food and coffee, and low-key atomosphere, and super kid-friendly, with an outdoor patio/play area.

SLEEP at these Sunnyside-Approved Sleeperies:

  • The Best Western Entrada Lodge
    • If you want to mountain bike right out your front door, the Entrada is your hotel. It's also (behind the Inn at the 7th Mountain Resort) the second-closest motel to Mt. Bachelor.
  •  McMennamin's Old St. Francis School
    • Right downtown--food, beverage, movies, steam bath...It's not like any of the Catholic schools we remember...
  • Phoenix Inn
    • It's our downtown McHotel. Standard fare, but nice.
  • Rainbow Motel
    • A small and scrappy bike-racer special.
    Alpenglow Vacation Rentals
    • If you're in the market for  affordable luxury vacation rentals...
  • Tumalo State Park
    • Grab yourself a yurt for $14 a night. Road riding is excellent right from the park. Mountain biking is about 5 miles away.
