Tom Gibbons

You'll find Tom, likely as not, at the Meissner ski area, and he's one of the people who you should thank for the beautiful trail system there.  Tom's been skiing in Central Oregon since the mid 1950s, and he's been active in Oregon nordic skiing since that time.   At 85, Tom still skis almost daily, and has, along with his son Tim, been one of the major champions of the development of the Virginia Meissner Ski Area.    Tom has been directly involved with the design and layout of the new trails at Meissner,  the new Ponderosa Trail in particular. 

Thanks, Tom, for your tireless dedication to nordic skiing in our town.  We glide on your coat-tails.
